An anti-corruption and integrity-building training for personnel of the Liberia National Police has officially been launched.
Speaking Thursday during the launch of the program at the headquarters of the LNP, the Executive Director of CENTAL, Anderson D. Miamen promised to improve the partnership with law enforcement agencies, especially the Liberia National Police (LNP) to curb corruption, enhance and skill-up participants knowledge of anti-corruption laws.
He also stressed the need to build and sustain a culture of accountability, integrity, and ethical behavior of officers in the Liberia National Police.
Also speaking, Police Inspector General Gregory O. W. Coleman thanked CENTAL for the initiative.
He emphasized that the Police job is more of service than force, as such, accountability, integrity, and ethical behavior must be sustained at the highest level.
The training sponsored by the Swedish Embassy in Liberia, is a collaboration of the Liberia National Police and the Center for Transparency and Accountability in Liberia(CENTAL).
